Hopkins, Sherry

Sherry Hopkins currently is the state legislature lobbyist and minority affairs adviser for Golden Rule Insurance Co. She oversees eight states and is the company’s liaison to all the legislative Black caucuses in the United States. She is a two-term vice-chair of the corporate roundtable of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL). For six years she has chaired the NBCSL annual gala and has raised more than $500,000 for the organization. She has been honored with the Annual NBCSL Outstanding Service Award and has received the 2002 Pillars of Leadership Award presented by the National Organization of Black Elected Legislative Women (NOBEL Women).
