Election 2006: Our Victory!
The winds of change blew strongly on Election Day! The Future PAC is so grateful to those of you who helped sweep into office the progressive Black women we asked you to support. Thank you for stepping up! With your help, these progressive African American women won their elections:
Julia Carson was re-elected to the U.S. Congress representing Indiana's 7th District!
Yvette Clarke will now represent New York's 11th District in the U.S. Congress!
Debbie Conway will now serve as the Recorder for Clark County, Nevada!
Wilmer Amina Carter will now represent District 62 in the California State Assembly!
Laura Richardson will now represent District 55 in the California State Assembly!
Their success proves that your support does make a difference. While The Future PAC is excited about these successful campaigns, we cannot rest. There are progressive African American women running for office on the state and local level in 2007. Please continue to support The Future PAC and together we will help elect more qualified and deserving candidates who are committed to fighting for our communities and interests.
Again, thank you for standing with us!
